Starting Lineups Announce a Return!

Hasbro says September 22nd, 2022 is the launch date for nostalgia

Not all things in present day earth are bad, just most. Indeed, one of the most nostalgic and happy trips down memory lane revolves around Kenner/Mattel’s Starting Lineup toy line in the late 80’s and all the way into the late 90’s.

On Monday, they announced a comeback in some form. All we have to do is survive until September 22nd, 2022 to see what iteration they come in.

Furthermore, this is a partnership of Hasbro and Fanatics, so the big players are involved in this one. Here’s what the COO of Hasbro had to say about the acquisition:

“We’re thrilled to be bringing back one of the most beloved sports collectibles brands of all time, Starting Lineup, and to be teaming up with Fanatics for its highly anticipated return this fall,” said Eric Nyman, President and COO of Hasbro. “The fast-growing sports collectibles category presents great opportunities to connect with fans of all ages, and we’ve got many exciting announcements to come from the brand in the months ahead.”

How can you not look back at this without getting excited? This was my childhood, and it was the greatest childhood that ever existed!
